I am also involved in animal rescue and operate the local senior pet sanctuary/hospice Underdog Animal Society.

At Underdog Animal Society we do not take in owner surrenders but instead rescue those seniors that are at real risk for euthanasia directly from shelters. We have "pulled" (rescued) animals from shelters in MS, AL and LA to keep them from being euthanized. We treat their ailments and show them nothing but kindness.
